    A team from Consulate General of India, Frankfurt led by Consul General Amit Telang visited NRW on 23 August 2020. The highlights of the visit were the 416th Shri Guru Granth Sahib Prakash Purab celebrations by Gurudwara Nanaksar in Essen and Ganeshotsav celebrations by Marathi Mitra Mandal, Germany eV. CG noted that NRW is home to one of the most vibrant and successful Indian community who have left an indelible mark on socio-cultural landscape of NRW. Speaking on the occasion, CG Telang commended the selfless social work performed by the Gurudwara Nanaksar in promotion and preservation of the Sikh culture and the Punjabi language. CG also met the representatives from the Deutsche-Indische Gesellschaft and student representatives of Duisburg-Essen Students Association. During the interaction the representatives briefed about their activities, especially the assistance provided by them to Indian students and stranded citizens during the Covid-19 crisis. CG thanked all the representatives for their continued cooperation and support to the Consulate and reiterated that the CGI, Frankfurt would like to continue and expand the cooperation to strengthen India-NRW relations, including under the India meets NRW initiative.
