    Press Release – Consul General of India hosts a National Day Reception

    On the occasion of the 71st Republic Day of India, Consul General, Ms. Pratibha Parkar hosted a Reception at Hotel Inter Continental in Frankfurt.

    More than 350 guests attended the Reception.
    Dr. Thomas Steffen, State Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health was the Chief Guest at the event. Other dignitaries who attended the reception included Lord Mayors, Mayors, representatives of Indo - German business fraternity, cultural institutions, media, Diplomatic corps & officials of government departments & institutions and the prominent members of Indian community.

    On this occasion, Consul General addressed a large gathering and underlined the major initiatives and achievements of Government of India. She highlighted the strategic partnership between India and Germany and high degree of trust and mutual understanding defining that partnership. Consul General also highlighted the various initiatives and outreach activities of the Consulate in 2019 to deepen the economic, cultural and educational ties with the four German States of Hessen, North Rhine Westphalia, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate.

    Consul General’s remarks were followed by a speech by the chief guest. Local Indian artists presented mesmerising performances of Indian classical dance before the gathered audience.
