Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2017

On 10th January 2017 CGI Frankfurt celebrated the Vishwa Hindi Diwas in Frankfurt. On this occasion, a quiz competition based on the Hindi language, grammar and literature was organised with a participation of nine teams with representation from Indian cultural organisations and Hindi language institutes and Indian offices from and around Frankfurt.
Consul General, in his welcome remarks, emphasised on the importance of Hindi as a language which happens to be the fourth most-spoken first language in the world, after Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
The Guest of Honour for the event was Dr. Indu Prakash Pandey, a noted Hindi scholar in India and Germany, who has written many books in Hindi and Awadhi, as well as in German. Dr. Pandey gave an insightful lecture on the global linguistic influences on the Hindi language.
The successful winners of the quiz were:
1st: Team State Bank of India
2nd: Team Consulate General of India
3rd: Team India Tourism
Quiz masters for the event were Ms. Mridula Singh and Mr. Prashant Prabhakar
Over 70 representatives from the Indian and German community attended the event.

10 जनवरी 2017 को फ्रॅंकफर्ट में भारतीय महाकौन्सुलावास में विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाया गया. इस उपलक्ष्य में हिंदी भाषा, व्याकरण और साहित्य पर आधारित एक प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया था जिसमें कुल नौ टीमों ने भाग लिया, जो फ्रैंकफर्ट और फ्रैंकफर्ट के आसपास के भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संगठनों, भारतीय कार्यालयों और भाषा संस्थानों का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहीं थीं.
महावाणिज्य दूत (कॉन्सुल जनरल) श्री रवीश कुमार ने अपने स्वागत भाषण में, एक भाषा के रूप में हिंदी के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया जो मॅंडारिन, स्पेनिश और अँग्रेज़ी के बाद दुनिया में, प्रथम भाषा के रूप में चौथी सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली भाषा है.
इस आयोजन के मुख्य अतिथि थे डॉ इंदु प्रकाश पाण्डेय, जो जर्मनी और भारत में एक प्रख्यात हिंदी विद्वान हैं, जिन्होने हिन्दी और अवधी के साथ-साथ जर्मन भाषा में कई पुस्तकें लिखी हैं. डॉ पांडेय ने हिन्दी भाषा पर वैश्विक भाषाई प्रभावों के विषय पर एक गहन व्याख्यान दिया . वे प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता के जूरी सदस्य भी थे.
इस प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता के सफल विजेता थे:
प्रथम स्थान: भारत स्टेट बैंक की टीम
द्वितीय स्थान: फ्रॅंकफर्ट में भारतीय महाकौन्सुलावास की टीम
तृतीय स्थान: भारत पर्यटन विभाग की टीम
प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता के प्रश्नकर्ता और संचालक मृदुला सिंह और प्रशांत प्रभाकर थे.
इस उपलक्ष्य पर भारतीय महाकौन्सुलावास में भारतीय और जर्मन समुदाय के 70 से अधिक प्रतिनिधि उपस्थित थे.
