The day long event consisted of several lectures on topics such as "Recent trends in Indian Historiography", practical sessions on yoga, Hindi trial lessons etc. The evening function was inaugurated by President of the university, Prof. Dr. Katharina Krause and Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar.

The evening consisted of classical dance performances and short lectures by Prof. Dr. Juergen Hanneder, Head of Indology and Prof. Deepak Kumar, History of Science & Education, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The evening was attended by over 100 residents and students from Marburg.
